Our experienced and enthusiastic nurses have their own clinics in which they offer a variety of consultations including general health checks, post operative checks, removal of stitches, weight checks and puppy checks, clipping nails, expressing anal glands and microchipping.
They are also available for advice on puppy and kitten health checks, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment, training and behaviour, neutering, dental care and microchipping.
Physiotherapy can be crucial in the recovery of injuries and operations; it concerns the promotion of mobility, functional ability, quality of life and movement potential through manipulation. We can refer you to a qualified animal physiotherapist who can provide treatment for a range of conditions including post-operative care in orthopaedic cases, arthritic dogs, nerve injuries, muscle injuries and many more. For more information please contact the surgery.
Acupuncture is an alternative method of treatment that involves the insertion of needles into specific points on the body to cause a desired healing effect. One of our Veterinary Surgeons has a keen interest in acupuncture and provides pre-arranged appointments during which this can be performed. For more information please contact the surgery.
In addition to our Veterinary Surgery we have an established Cattery at our Overdale Surgery in Buxton. We have 7 modern, clean, hygienic kennels; large enough for two family cats to live comfortably together. We have incorporated raised levels into the kennels to enable the residents to keep active and stretch their legs. As owners you have the peace of mind that your cats care is in good hands with vets and nurses just downstairs.
For further information or to book your cat a kennel, please contact our Overdale practice on 01298 23499.
