Emergencies when we are open

For emergencies during our normal opening hours, you should always call the practice on our daytime number, and we will advise you what to do next.

Emergencies when we are closed

We have partnered with Vets Now and Vets at Night to provide our out of hours emergency care. Both are the pet equivalent of an accident and emergency service, and their teams will provide you with clinical advice or, if required, arrange an immediate appointment to see your pet at one of the locations below from 6.30pm to 8.30am Monday to Friday, and from 3.30pm Saturday until 8.30am Monday.  The service is also provided all day on public holidays.

By being partnered with both Vets Now and Vets at Night, we can offer our clients round the clock care at a location closest to you. Because they are not working during the day, they provide dedicated out of hours emergency care so will be up and ready to see your pet at the time you need them, as well as being able to monitor and provide continuous care throughout the night.

If your pet has an emergency when we are closed, you can contact one of our partners by calling our regular daytime number and our automated system will give the option for your call to be diverted to either:

Please remember, our out of hours service is there to help you in an emergency when we are closed.  For all routine treatments, or to cancel or re-arrange an existing appointment, please contact us on our daytime number during our normal opening hours. Farm and Equine Emergencies

Emergencies when we are open

For emergencies between 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), you should always call the practice on 01335 342227, and a member of our farm and equine team will advise you what to do next.

Emergencies when we are closed

For emergencies involving Farm Animals or Equine when we are closed, please call 01335 342227 and your call will be transferred to our Large Animal out of hours messaging service. They will take your details and pass them on to the duty vet who will call you back. 

Our Large Animal out of hours service is provided weekdays from 5.30pm until 8.30am, at weekends from 5.30pm on Fridays until 8.30am on Monday, and all day on public holidays. An out of hours surcharge will apply during these times.
