After growing up in Staffordshire, Kate moved to Cambridge to study Veterinary Medicine. She joined the McMurtry and Harding team as a mixed vet in January 2021 and has split her time across all areas of the practice including small animal, equine and farm work. 

She has a keen interest in conservation and wildlife, and in 2022 has completed a 3-month Wildlife Veterinary Internship in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. She had the incredible experience of working with some fantastic species including elephants, rhinos, lions, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo, and many more.

Kate has one pet of her own, a working cocker spaniel called Pip, who she enjoys walking in the Peak District in her spare time. She also plays netball for several local teams.
