Dawn Wainwright

Dawn grew up on her family’s sheep farm and started work at McMurtry and Harding as a student nurse after finished school in 2003. She qualified as an RVN in 2005 and has since taken on roles such as SVN training, acting head nurse at Buxton, before becoming Head Nurse of Ashbourne, Buxton and Wirksworth in 2011.

She now has two children, Arthur, and Amber, and has started a dairy farm with her husband, all of which keep her very busy. So, she reduced her working hours and now shares the role of Head Nurse at Ashbourne and Wirksworth with Amy Brown.

Her areas of interest within the job include medical nursing, nurse clinics and canine behaviour. She is also in charge of keeping up to date with the RCVS practice standards. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family on the farm, and they have recently finished building their forever home there.
